Wedding Stationery - Faye & Chris

Winter weddings can be just as magical as Summer ones - a touch of fur here and there and a sprinkling of snow can make the day complete. An indoor wedding also means you don't need to rely on perfect sunshine for your perfect day. For Faye & Chris the 4th of February was their chosen special day. The look for the day - simple, stylish and white.

We met Faye and her mum Ann at the Bristol Vintage Wedding Fair, where they were looking for something with a hint of classic style, without the rustic vintage trend that is so popular at the moment. Being the perfect client, they were very open minded when it came to the stationery design, giving our creative muscles space to stretch and come up with some very unique ideas.

The outcome - a subtle grey on white scheme, with a monogram motif used throughout, simple and understated without being too fussy and with a hint of fun.

We created the entire suite for the wedding - the accordion Save the Date cards with matching handmade mini envelopes, the main day and evening invitations and all of the day stationery, including the order of service, escort cards and place cards.

Enjoy this Wintery inspiration. (Yes, it even snowed!)

The Save the Date cards - accordion style, litho printed with matching handmade lined envelopes.

The Invitation - Letterpress printed with superfine metallic silver dust onto beautiful Cranes Lettra 600gsm 100% cotton card.
Matching envelopes with printed lining and motif printing to the outside.

Reply cards with return envelopes - these ensure no excuse for delayed replies.

The outer envelope - with bespoke printed lining.

On the day - favours were left at each place setting, acting as the place card too. For the ladies some chocolate...

...for the gentlemen, a lucky lottery ticket!

On the day - the Bride & Groom place settings.

The slim Order of Service booklet included a 'Which Flower are You?' birthday section
to entertain guests while awaiting the bride

12:35

Todays post relates to interesting occurrence that took place here at Meticulous Ink H.Q. - and one related to one of our customers who visited us recently.
After careful selection Mr. Taylor chose a dip pen, two nibs and a bottle of our 'Cafe Des Iles' J. Herbin ink.
As we rang up the purchase on our till the clock struck 12:35pm and the total came to £12.35 - a strange coincidence, and probably nothing too amazing you might think. But when you experience such interesting monetary and time related incidents, and then also receive the creative outcome of such events - it certainly makes for an interesting little post. Thank you Mr. Taylor.

Our new blog - a long time coming.

First of all, we are sorry - I'm ashamed to say it's now been a whole year since we have blogged anything considerably worthwhile. It's an absolute disgrace I know, and I can only hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive us. We've been working hard to try and match our blog to our website so hopefully they fit together well, we think they do. Many thanks to our good friend Louis ten Kate for his patience and infinite html knowledge.

We have of course also been designing and printing day and night, and this only means we are now bursting with lots more beautiful stationery and design to show you.

A lot has happened this year, we've finally moved everything to Bath - presses, paper and even ourselves. This means everything we produce and sell under Meticulous Ink is designed, printed and finished entirely in Bath.

Last month we also hit 2 years in business, which has gone past ridiculously quickly - we still haven't produced as much of our own products as we would have liked but we're slowly making more and more - starting with some delightful typography postcards which will be arriving in store over the next couple of weeks. We're a little behind on our christmas cards and products but we ensure you we shall have these in store mid to late November.
That's all for now, we're slowly but surely getting back into the blog, all feels a bit rusty after such a long absence but we're finally back, and will be showing you some of our pretty paper creations soon.
